Artist's Comments
This is the finished version of my master study over the painter Ludwig Meidner that I did for my Intro to Drawing and Painting class. As I mentioned about the sketch I made in preparation for it, it also draws some influences from the literary works of H.P. Lovecraft.
The desolate, twisted landscape on the left is slowly advancing and consuming the city on the right. Men are driven mad by the baleful glow of the crimson moon. Eldritch energies warp the land. All harkon to the advent of nameless powers from beyond the stars. |
