Currenty I'm working on a master study of the artist Ludwig Meidner for my art class. I'm attempting to emulate his style of apocalyptic landscape paintings.

This is just a rough sketch of what I intend to paint. I was also influenced somewhat by the works of H.P. Lovecraft when drawing this, as you can probably tell from the Cthulhu-ish creature advancing on the city from the left. I had an idea that the right side would have a city showing obvious signs of destruction from earthquakes and fire and the like. It would blend into the left side, a nightmare hellscape with dark, non-euclidian spires soaring above a twisted landscape. It will show an advancing onslaught of madness creeping over the land to devour the doomed city.

So, yeah, tough luck for anyone who lives in that city.
